I have had a fascination with hair styling since I was about 4 or 5 years old. Long before I became a professional, I practiced and perfected being able to visually learn and recreate any style I wanted.

 

With the support and encouragement of my family and friends throughout my life, I have nurtured and grown my natural gifts and passion for hair braiding. I've turned that passion into a fulfilling business where I am able to service people from all backgrounds and professions.

 

Beyond making people look and feel good, I work to empower women to push past all the fear, insecurity and doubt they carry about their hair due to historical, generational and psychological trauma. Specifically brown and highly textured haired women have been waiting for the world to consider and accept our natural hair as a beauty standard. I believe that if I can empower at least one woman to embrace and appreciate her natural texture, then that can start the momentum for us to control our own narrative and create our own hair story.  

I was born and raised in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. I have three beautiful daughters whose hair I maintain when I'm not servicing my clients. In my down time, you can find me cooking, singing, dancing, taking road trips and spending time with loved ones.
